Triage your inbox with Scout
Scout is the AI built into Campbooks. It reads your inbox, classifies and summarizes what arrives, and surfaces the few things that actually need you — so you can deal with them and move on. Scout never sends anything without your approval.
Start from home
Your home screen opens on a short briefing and a row of rings — small stacks that group what came in (for example Needs you, Invoices, Vendors). A ring with a count is asking for a look; a checked ring has already been sorted.
- Tap a ring to open its stack.
- Read Scout's one-line summary on each item.
- Act inline — Archive, Reply, or Approve & send a drafted reply.
Skim the rest
For everything that doesn't need a decision, use Skim — a fast, card-by-card pass.
- Open Skim from the inbox or a stack.
- For each card, swipe or tap to Keep or Archive.
- When a group has nothing that needs you, Scout will say so — clear it in one move.
As you skim, Campbooks learns from your choices, so its suggestions get closer to how you'd actually triage.
:::note What Scout will and won't do Scout reads, classifies, files, surfaces, and drafts. It will never send an email, archive in bulk, or act on your behalf without you confirming. When there's a real pile, Scout shows you the real number and points you at the fastest way through it — it won't pretend it "handled" things. :::
Ask Scout directly
Open Scout from the rail to ask about your inbox in plain language — "what do I owe this week?", "summarize the Northwind contract", "any invoices overdue?" Scout answers from your own mail and documents, and can draft a reply for you to review.
